The good parts of the series are behind us, and this set of episodes crosses over from “things I can appreciate and roll my eyes at” to “this actually makes me apoplectic with rage.” Nuriko deserved better when I was a teenager, and she deserves better now.
It’s back! This is probably the strongest run of the show–Miaka is active, the romantic plot tumor is minimal, and the ensemble dynamic is good (Nuriko still deserves better). More detailed show notes are over at Anime Feminist
