Amazing how the Cold War knew how we’d kill ourselves off. Just took a little longer than they expected.

In 1982, the Rafferty brothers put together a documentary about how America’s combination of powerful weaponry, careless leaders, propaganda, and willful ignorance would lead us to nuclear annihilation. It somehow feels even more relevant in 2017 than it did during the Cold War.
The film is cut together using only test footage, advertisements, propaganda, and other footage from the era. It ranges from bleakly funny (if you like Fallout, this is for you), to unspeakably horrific. Content warning for war crimes and animal cruelty.
If you think you can stomach the disturbing content, it’s an absolute must-watch.
