Trash & Treasures – The Castle of Cagliostro

You’ve seen my favorite movie list, right? It was only a matter of time.

And now, the movie that Spielberg and Disney liked enough to steal — sorry, homage — huge chunks from!

A gentleman thief visit the Duchy of Miyazakiland to steal the secret of counterfeited bills, but winds up rescuing a girl instead. There’s always a girl. Shenanigans ensue. Vrai has a history lesson on Lupin in the US and is also in danger of feeling an emotion, Dorothy remembers the way we was, and you bet this isn’t the last time we’re talking about this franchise.

Those Lupin Network receipts:

  1. Oh the irony of Leblanc’s estate threatening lawsuits for Lupin the 3rd.

Considering Leblanc decided to have Lupin face off against Sherlock Holmes and was threatened with lawsuits by Doyle and had to change the name of the detective to “Herlock Sholmes.”
